Last week in Austin TX, Cincinnati Bengals RB CEDRIC BENSON was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault as he apparently put the beat down on his ex-roommate, CHARLES CLAVENS…but the circumstances surrounding the assault hints at a possible gay relationship that Benson and Clavens may have shared, according to Dallasvoice.com.
“According to the affidavit, the roommate [Charles Clavens] was talking on a cell phone on a street corner at 5 a.m. when Benson approached him. Benson allegedly told him they ‘need to talk about their problems’ and then repeatedly hit him in the face. The police report said the roommate was bleeding from the mouth and possibly lost teeth.”
Benson rearranged Clavens face with his assault but could it be the result of a gay relationship gone bad?
Needless to say, Clavens is suing Benson for bodily injury…but apparently there’s an added twist.
Benson’s attorneys alleged that Clavens threatened an extortion attempt saying he would go to the media if Benson doesn’t settle. Go to the media with what? Hmmm….
Clavens has initially been passed off as a ‘family member’ of Benson’s…but he is not. He was Benson’s long-time roommate in Austin. Could this assault really be the result a lover’s quarrel between Benson and Clavens?
There’s sufficient reason to think so. If Clavens makes good on his alleged threat or is suddenly paid off and this affair goes hush-hush, we’ll certainly have our answer.
