Jackson’s personal distractions is just one of many things that has caused the Eagles to fumble away the season.

After being deactivated in Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals due to a team-enforced suspension, Philadelphia Eagles wideout DESEAN JACKSON says he has spoken to coach ANDY REID and his teammates and is ready to move on after missing a Saturday morning special teams meeting. But rumor has it that Jackson’s absence from Saturday’s meeting may have something to do with him being….uhhh….broke??

It’s no secret that Jackson, who is in the final year of his rookie contract, was preparing to holdout at the start of this season for a contract extension with the Eagles. But the Pro Bowl receiver thought better of it and decided to finally show up to camp.

Yet apparently Jackson hasn’t been exactly frugal with his money, reportedly spending on one occasion $25,000 on bottle service at a L.A. nightclub and allegedly owing agent Drew Rosenhaus, according to one source, “hundreds of thousands of dollars.”

“From what I’m told, [Jackson] owes Drew Rosenhaus a lot of money. . . . We’re talking hundreds of thousands of dollars. Is he broke? I don’t know how you define broke, but I know when he signs his new deal he will owe Drew Rosenhaus a lot of money.”

Word is that Jackson’s financial troubles may have been driving him to get a new deal done…and his absence from Saturday’s team meeting and subsequent deactivation may have been a product of his money issues.

Whether DeSean is actually broke…who knows? What I do know is Michael Vick has broken ribs and the pathetic 3-6 Eagles season, which began with bold Super Bowl aspirations, is buck horse-broken as well.
