Staples Center-bound: Chris Paul went from being a Laker to becoming a Clipper in less than a week.

It appears CHRIS PAUL is headed to L.A. after all. To the Clippers, that is. On Wednesday, the Los Angeles Clippers agreed in principle to a deal that brings Paul to L.A. for guard ERIC GORDON, center CHRIS KAMAN, forward AL-FAROUQ AMINU and the T-Wolves first-round pick.
According to sources, the Clippers will also receive two future second-round picks.
It was thought that Paul would end up playing alongside Kobe Bryant in Staples Center with the Lakers, not the Clippers, but David Stern cancelled the original trade last Friday. Now Paul joins forces with slam dunk king Blake Griffin instead.
Griffin’s dunk total for this season just spiked exponentially with Paul now becoming the Clippers’ main spoon feeder.
And guess what? The Clippers first preseason game is Monday…versus the Lakers.
The Clippers now have a plethora of point guards that includes Paul, veteran Chauncey Billups, Eric Bledsoe and Mo Williams. Somebody’s obviously not starting…and it won’t be Paul.
Good luck handling that rotation, Vinny Del Negro.
