Carolina Panthers linebacker JON BEASON is coming off a left Achilles tendon injury from last season yet plans to be a major part of an anticipated Panther Power strike in 2012. And if Beason’s focus during off season workouts is any indication, the three-time Pro Bowler is already getting into beast mode right now…

The former University of Miami star (yeah the U) signed a deal last season with the Panthers that made him the highest paid middle linebacker in NFL history (5 years, $50 million…half of that total guaranteed) but that’s only part of the motivation that has Beason focused and determined in his comeback attempt.

It’s knowing Cam Newton is only gonna get better, Steve Smith is only gonna get stronger and Carolina’s running back corps of Jonathan Stewart and DeAngelo Williams is only gonna get tougher and faster. Beason sees the Panthers as on the verge…and it starts with him and the defense.

And judging by these workouts, J-Beason is clearly focused on getting beastier.
