While the New York Knicks’ playoff ship has all but sunk in the East River this postseason, two of its key players (who are currently on the self) have taken to Twitter to provide fans with images of their injury plight. Forward AMARÉ STOUDEMIRE and guard IMAN SHUMPERT took tweeple through the Knicks’ M*A*S*H unit with these pics…
While Shumpert is recovering from knee surgery and is in Week 1 of his rehabilitation, Stoudemire provides evidence of how severe a cut he suffered when he angrily hit a fire extinguisher glass enclosure after New York’s Game 2 loss in Miami last week. Dude’s hand looks like a baseball…complete with hardball seam and stitches. Geesh.
This has been an injury-plagued spring in New York with Yankees closer Mariano Rivera now out for the year with a torn ACL as well.
Can you imagine the workman’s comp between these guys?
