Westbrook lets out a thunderous roar after igniting Chesapeake Energy Arena into a mad frenzy in Game 5.

On Monday, the Oklahoma City Thunder sent the L.A. Lakers home for the summer with an explosive burst at the end of the third quarter of a close game that started with this RUSSELL WESTBROOK steal and miraculous “And-1″ with the score tied 70-70…

That play typified the series and Westbrook’s dominance over the Lakers as OKC went on a 23-7 run to end the Lakers season, 4 games to 1. Kobe’s expression on that play says it all.

Westbrook finished with 28 points while Kevin Durant and James Harden chipped in with 25 and 17 respectively.

I’ve been saying it all season. This OKC team has no weaknesses whatsoever. The only knock on them is that they sometimes fall in love with the jumpshot. But as they proved against the Lakers, the Thunder are more than capable of compensating with their youth, speed and athleticism.

Something I believe the Spurs will find out next in the West Finals.
