Bench warmer: LeBron James is forced to sit and watch as the Boston Celtics tie the ECF at two games apiece.

The Miami Heat came up short in OT Sunday 93-91 to the Boston Celtics in Game 4 of the ECF as LEBRON JAMES fouls out of the contest with 1:51 remaining in overtime to the delight of the Boston Garden faithful…
Was it an offensive foul on LeBron? Can’t really say but it was very similar to the call that Kevin Garnett got whistled for when he clamped on to James’s arm in the post earlier in the game. And with Paul Pierce fouling out seconds before, maybe the refs were evening the playing field for Boston. In any event, LeBron stated after the game that he doesn’t foul out of games (you did this time) and wishes he had got his money’s worth…
Like James would have done something clutch to win a playoff game. Whatever…
Dwyane Wade, who has been surprisingly subpar during this series, just missed a three-pointer at the buzzer that would have won the game.
Now it’s a best-of-three. Miami’s still in the driver’s seat but pressure is clearly on the Heat to win. James says he doesn’t foul out but if Miami fouls out of the Eastern Conference Finals, there’s going to be hell to pay.
That is what happens when you guarantee titles at premature victory parades in July.
