Truth hurts: Paul Pierce’s dagger three-pointer over LeBron James put Miami Heat on the brink of elimination.

Tuesday night, the Boston Celtics came into American Airlines Arena in Miami and got the one win they needed to take control of the Eastern Conference Finals and put themselves in position for another NBA Finals return, beating DWYANE WADE, LEBRON JAMES and the Heat, 94-90 to take a 3-2 series lead back home to Boston.

Though there were several key plays in the game (like Rondo’s offensive rebound tap to Mickael Pietrus in the corner for a wide open trey), none was bigger than this PAUL PIERCE dagger three pointer over LeBron…

Pierce didn’t have a particularly great game from the field (6-for-19, 19 points) yet Truth be told, the Celtics’ captain came up big when it counted most. Something his counterpart on the Heat still has a problem doing.

After the game, Kevin Garnett had a message for all those Celtics naysayers that claimed he and the Celtics were too old and too slow to deal with the fastbreaking, front-running Heat…

The truth is Boston is going home to play Game 6 in front of over 18,000 raucous fans at Boston Garden for a chance to advance to their 22nd NBA Finals since 1957.

Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh like to get up on stages in July and talk dynasty? Well they’ll now have to get up on the Boston Garden stage in front of all those Celtics banners and somehow try to stop an awfully proud and determined basketball dynasty.

Not so easy without the mic in your hands in June, is it fellas?
