NFL star running back ADRIAN PETERSON was arrested early Saturday morning in Houston for what must be described as “disorderly conduct” and “resisting arrest” after the four-time Pro Bowler got into an altercation with off-duty police.
According to reports, an off-duty cop asked Peterson and his entourage to begin to leave Club Live! at Bayou Palace as closing time approached. A confrontation began when the officer came back a second time to tell Peterson to depart. That’s when Adrian allegedly shouted at the cop, “Hey man, we heard you the first time!” and pushed the officer in the back of his shoulder, causing him to stumble.
The officer then attempted to arrest Peterson, telling the 6’1″ 217 pound athlete to put his hands behind his back. Peterson then began yelling at the officer facing him in what has been described as an “aggressive stance.”
Peterson reportedly resisted arrest, ignoring several verbal warnings but was eventually arrested when back-up cops arrived on the scene. Some reports say the officers attempted to tackle Peterson from behind.
Peterson was later released after posting $1,000 bond.
Can’t say what brought about this incident but it appears there was some high levels of testosterone flowing in Houston last night…both on the part of Peterson and the off-duty officer.
All over departing a night club. Smh.
