The view from Revis Island looks to be clear and balmy for the NY Jets heading into the 2012 preseason.

With all the anticipated media attention surrounding the New York Jets this preseason, apparently a DARRELLE REVIS potential holdout will not be among the headlines. According to an Associated Press report, the All-Pro cornerback is expected to attend training camp when the Jets veterans report this Thursday.

Revis has two years ($13.5 million) left on the four-year, $46 million contract he signed with the Jets in 2010. Even though Revis has already cashed in on most of the front-loaded deal, the four-time Pro Bowler ultimately seeks a long-term deal with New York. Something he feels he deserves as the NFL’s best corner and team’s best defensive player.

I think it’s a plus that Revis is reporting to camp. That can’t do anything but help the Jets’ cause while both parties continue to work out a deal that satisfies each side. That also puts the media circus focus on the Tim Tebow-Mark Sanchez QB scuffle.

Oh…and anything asinine that comes out of Santonio Holmes’s mouth.
