Derrick Rose doesn’t want folks to worry about him. The spiritual, upbeat Bulls point guard says he’ll be just fine.

Folks, Chicago Bulls superstar guard DERRICK ROSE wants you-all to know that the Derrick Rose Revival and Recovery effort in Chi-town is well underway and not to worry about the possibility of this rose ever wilting. On Friday, Rose thanked fans and well-wishers for their support in his signature magnanimous way…

I mean, is there a more humble, selfless athlete in sports? Rose is recovering from a torn ACL suffered last spring in Game 1 of the first round of the NBA playoffs. He is not expected back until early 2013—February or March—and hopes to be fully recovered by that time.

I guess Rose is right when he says don’t worry about him, the Bulls especially. They’ll have to continue to carry on without their star point guard for the majority of next season as well. Hard to be upbeat about that.

I guess Chicago’s “inevitabull” title run will have to wait. Still.
