Among the most interesting arrivals at NFL training camp was that of Indianapolis Colts veteran wideout REGGIE WAYNE. Wayne “reported for duty” at Colts camp Saturday wearing military fatigues accompanied by a convoy of Humvees and members of the Indiana National Guard…

“I don’t want people to look at this like it’s a joke, a gimmick. I fully support our military and I’m taking a page out of their book. I want our team to take a page out of their book. These guys are what you call true heroes.” —Reggie Wayne

Wayne thought it appropriate to send a symbolic message to his team by honoring the military and stressing that the Colts take on its heroic mantra this season…

Nice move by Reggie. With the Colts in rebuilding mode having lost virtually all its star players in a massive roster overhaul, they will have to be troopers and find a way to “bring it” this season.

At 33, Wayne is among the few All-Pros left in Indy.

But in all likelihood, Wayne may be playing the role of General Custer this season.
