KEVIN DURANT can’t wait to have his OKC rolling partner RUSSELL WESTBROOK back in the line-up this upcoming season. But KD will have to wait a while longer. That’s because Westbrook underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on his right knee early Tuesday, Thunder Executive Vice President and General Manager Sam Presti announced.
Doctors say Westbrook has completely recovered from his torn meniscus which he suffered at the end of last season but needed surgery to repair loose sutures which were causing him some swelling and discomfort in his knee area.
Westbrook is expected to miss the first 4-6 weeks of the regular season.
That means Durant will have to continue to shoulder most of the scoring load to start the season as he did down the stretch for OKC last season.
The pic above kind of sums up KD’s general feeling on the matter.
