Fresh start: Martin obviously feels the Timberwolves are more of a team than the one he played on last season.

Timberwolves newcomer KEVIN MARTIN says he is much happier in Minnesota after spending last season in Oklahoma City with the Thunder. Yet when Martin gave his reasoning why things are much peachier now as opposed to last year, he appeared to direct his comments at one player, KEVIN DURANT:

“This is such a fun team to play on. Nobody is trying to lead the league in scoring here. Everybody has the big picture of getting to the playoffs. That’s one thing I told young guys that have never been there, it’s about team ball and just playing for one another. That’s what makes teams fun to play on.”

—Wolves guard Kevin Martin

Although he’s speaking in general terms and doesn’t mention any names, Martin seems to be referring to three-time NBA scoring champion Durant in his statement. Shots fired? Maybe?

Obviously, things didn’t work out well  for Martin last year as he attempted to replace James Harden in the Thunder rotation. I guess there wasn’t enough basketballs to go around in OKC.

Wonder what Durant has to say about Martin’s comments. More than that, I wonder if he even cares.
