Shredded curtains: Tomlin’s Steelers defense isn’t what it used to be and that makes him very angry and annoyed.

Jobs are on the line in Steeler Country after Pittsburgh’s embarrassing 55-31 road loss at New England Sunday and Steelers head coach MIKE TOMLIN is carrying the axe. An angry Tomlin told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that under performing players on defense will be benched after the Steelers’ defense surrendered 610 total yards to the Patriots, most in franchise history.

“You re-evaluate everything,” Tomlin said. “You have to after a performance like that and we will. It doesn’t necessarily mean we will change or change for the sake of changing, but we will look at every aspect of what we are doing and who we are doing it with because we can’t have performances like that.”

“Those people who are lacking effort won’t be playing. It’s just that simple. I am angry, disappointed.”  —Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin

As he should be. The Steelers have clearly been a disappointment this season. Yet Tomlin has always held himself and his team accountable and simply will not tolerate lack of performance with his football team.

I’m not sure how much Tomlin can do with his team stretched thin due to lack of depth but trust…this won’t be a fun week for players at Steelers practice.

Not with Omar Epps uhhh….Tomlin on the prowl.
