Central of attention: George says the Bulls heyday is over. It’s the Pacers time to shine in the NBA Central division.

The Indiana Pacers sent a clear and present message to the Chicago Bulls after their 97-80 victory over the Chicago Bulls Wednesday night: NBA Central is our division, not yours. And the key spokesman spending the message? Pacers emerging superstar PAUL GEORGE.

George told NBA.com:

“We want to step away from that shadow as the ‘little brothers’ of this division. [The Bulls] success is the Michael Jordan era. This is a new age, this is a new team. It’s ours till they take it.”

Paul was fantastic, scoring 21 points, dishing 3 assists and grabbing 6 rebounds in positively responding to Derrick Rose’s assertion that the Bulls top rival in the East is the Miami Heat. This no look assist to Luis Scola sort of highlights George’s play versus Chicago…

Chicago better recognize. The Pacers are the immediate concern before the Bulls can even think about LeBron and the Heat.
