Assault Weapon: Landry is sculpted like a superhero but plays like a villain on the field. Just ask the entire NFL.

Folks if you’ve ever wondered who might be the most likely choice for NFL Most Intimidating Player on defense in the aftermath of RAY LEWIS hanging up his cleats, it might very well be LARON LANDRY of the Indianapolis Colts. Landry is the subject of a recent ESPN The Magazine photo shoot in which the 220-pound hulk of a safety shows why he is an unstoppable force to be reckoned with…

If there ever was an Incredible Hulk in pro football, LaRon Landry is that guy.

The 29-year old defensive beast is relentless in seeking out ball carriers, pass catchers, quarterbacks…even those on his own team. Offensive players ardently make a mental note to know exactly where Landry is on the field. That is, if they want to keep their mental intact. Dude is that intimidating.

Did we mention that Landry works out every single day besides game day? And even then he does work.

The Colts say Landry’s presence on defense is a major reason why Indianapolis is one of the more punishing NFL defenses to play against. The team expects its overall defense to improve now that Landry is back in the line up from an ankle injury.

Said Landry upon returning to the Colts from a high ankle sprain: “Once I get healthy, it’s curtains.”

I tend to want to believe that.
