Martin and World Peace squashed their beef on Sunday but the Knicks need to conjure up some wins quick.

Things are getting quite testy in Knickelodeon camp. According to ESPN New York, Knicks veterans METTA WORLD PEACE and KENYON MARTIN got into a heated verbal exchange during practice prior to Sunday’s 103-99 loss to the Pelicans.

Martin and World Peace did not come to blows, but the back and forth was described as “intense” by one source with knowledge of the dust-up. World Peace and Martin smoothed things over prior to the Knicks’ 103-99 loss to the Pelicans on Sunday night, sources with knowledge of the situation said.

During the game, Carmelo Anthony and Iman Shumpert also exchanged words during a timeout when Shumpert was seen arguing with Melo in regards to a defensive assignment…

Both Shumpert and Anthony downplayed the significance of the incident as did World Peace and Martin in their altercation earlier but you have to ask yourself did any of this stuff happen when the Knicks were winning last year? When they were all smiles? (That would be pre-pumpkin patch uniforms…)

Losing nine straight (seven straight at home) in getting off to a disappointing 3-13 start will have a tendency to turn smiles upside down and put players on edge. You think?

I sense implosion coming on if the Knicks don’t right their ship soon.
