Hello Clutch: Johnson only tallied 9 points vs. OKC but has made a habit of scoring when it most matters.

JOE JOHNSON hasn’t been the kind of consistent scorer the Nets envisioned when they signed him as a free agent two years ago. But Brooklyn’s No. 7 still manages to maintain his reputation as a clutch performer when it matters most. Thursday night with KEVIN DURANT and the Thunder thinking about overtime, Joe Cool buried a rainbow dagger over OKC top defender SERGE IBAKA to snap the Nets’ two-game losing streak…

Johnson’s game-winner capped off a stunning Brooklyn rally that erased a 16-point Thunder lead, giving the Nets (11-21) a surprising 95-93 win in Oklahoma City.

But how clutch is Johnson? Since joining the Nets, J-Cool is shooting 12-for-14 with 30 seconds or less remaining and the score within 3. And dude is 6-for-6 when there are 10 seconds or less remaining.

I’m lobbying for a name change for Joe Johnson. Why not go with Joe Splash instead?
