Those who’ve witnessed the uncanny feats of ball handling by the Cavaliers All-Star MVP KYRIE IRVING have to know that Irving’s sick dribbling of the basketball are only part of his appeal. The other side of that is his incredible ability to use ball spin in dropping buckets. Irving explains this talent in this new Pro Answers video by Nike…

Yup. We’re talking about practice here….and mastery of angles off the backboard with the ball. Irving is apparently so adapt at this skill that he appears to simply rely on retention and mechanics in making what to me was the most fantastic shot of last Sunday’s NBA All-Star game…

Not only did Kyrie switch hands in mid-air on this reverse lay-up, but he used that ball spin he talks about in the Nike video to guide the ball off the backboard and into the net…without even looking at the rim! Solely focused on a spot on the glass…

The end result was 31 points and 14 assists (including MVP honors) in a game featuring the best among the absolute best.

Who was that calling Irving overrated again? Child please.
