Milwaukee Bucks big LARRY SANDERS has been suspended five games by the NBA for violating the league’s Anti-Drug Program but Sanders says he believes in the use of marijuana, particularly the medicinal side of it.
Sanders, who tested positive for marijuana, told the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel:
“I study it and I know the benefits it has. In a lot of ways we’ve been deprived. You can’t really label it with so many other drugs that people can be addicted to and have so many negative effects on your body and your family and your relationships and impairment. This is not the same thing….” —Larry Sanders
Honestly, Sanders is right. Marijuana gets such a bad wrap. Cannabis has never caused cancer, never attacked the kidneys or caused any long-term health risks. In fact, it has done just the opposite. The drug has proven very helpful in helping combating health concerns. The problem is people can abuse it, like they do most anything else.
Sanders sounds like he will find a way to get around the banned substance, like taking it during the NBA offseason. But dude is certainly advocating a need for weed.
