French Connection: Alouettes GM Jim Popp looks on as Ochocinco signs two-year deal to play in Montreal.

It’s been a long time coming but CHAD “OCHOCINCO” JOHNSON is back playing pro football—ummm, with the CFL’s Montreal Alouettes. The 36-year old Johnson signed a two-year standard CFL contract to play wide receiver North of the Border. Exact terms of the deal have yet to be released but there are no incentives.

Always a tweeting, Johnson announced his signing—in French—via Twitter:

It’s not yet known if Johnson will wear No. 85 for the Alouettes, the number he wore for 10 years with the Bengals, although he did tryout for the team in that number. If so, we might have to change Chad’s social moniker from Ochocinco to Quatre-vingt-cinq.
