Vintage: Carter gave the folks in Big D a vinsanity flashback with his game-winning buzzer beater Saturday.

The top-seeded San Antonio Spurs were standing on the threshold of a 2-1 series lead over the eighth-seeded Dallas Mavericks in Game 3 of their opening round playoff match up when VINCE CARTER went str8 vintage with just 1.7 seconds to play, flipping the script on San An with this game-winning 3-pointer as time expired to give the Mavs a 109-108 win…

Carter’s last second heroics reminded some of the shot he missed 13 years ago as a Toronto Raptor that would have won Game 7 and that second round series vs. the Sixers.

“To be honest, I thought about that coming out of the timeout,” Carter said. “In my mind, I was ready for it. I’d already made the shot before the play happened if I got the ball. I’m just glad it worked out.”

It worked out so well we have to show it again…Phantom style:

The NBA playoffs have been straight fire thus far, especially in the West where momentum swings in a heartbeat and games turn on a dime. They don’t call it the wild, wild West for nothing. 4sho!
