The great No. 88 DREW PEARSON recently made a guest appearance on NFL Network and talked about DEZ BRYANT working to continue the Hall of Fame succession of No. 88 at wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys…
Michael Irvin inherited the jersey number from Drew Pearson in the 90′s and went on to become the Cowboys all-time leading receiver in yards and receptions, winning 3 Super Bowls and becoming a HOF inductee. Now Bryant is on the verge of making his mark in double 8′s at wideout with Dallas.
Dez has all the tools to be even better than his predecessors. It’s really up to him. In terms of matching Pearson’s and Irvin’s winning legacy however (4 SB titles between them), that would depend on the effectiveness of the overall team around Bryant.
And as we all know, that remains the biggest question mark with the Dallas Cowboys.
